SBA and Yelp Present: Success With Online Reviews

Word-of-mouth can be one of the most powerful forms of advertising, and its free! Word-of-mouth was once considered "front porch talk", but now consumers across the country can share their experiences with thousands of other consumers by reviewing a business online. The U.S. Small Business Administration and Yelp are partnering to help small business owners realize the challenges and opportunities that arise from online reviews. The partnership will provide a series of free educational workshops and webinars. The first of which will be offered tomorrow, Tuesday February 25th at 2:00 pm. The SBDC Office located at Winthrop University in Rock Hill is the region office serving 15 counties in South Carolina: York, Chester, Lancaster, Union & Cherokee Counties served through:

-- Our Rock Hill regional office serving York, Chester, Lancaster and Cherokee; and a satellite office in Union, SC serving Union County
-- Our Myrtle Beach/Conway Area office serving Georgetown and Horry Counties;
-- And our Florence Area SBDC servingFlorence, Marion, Dillon, Darlington, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Williamsburg and Lee Counties.

We assist both existing and start-up businesses with a variety of free services, and offer dozens of business workshops and seminars throughout our region at very low cost. We are funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of SC, and our hosting universities.
